I have some questions, in fact ..

I want to learn to manipulate images, and others, but I lack in the department money to actually buy Photoshop.
So I was wondering if there is a free downloadable software good and decent that fits my .. .. ERM needs? And I speak not only the red eye, fix the people.

And, you know, any good tutorials or even willing to help me? I have in photography for quite some time, and I would only be done at a level step.
